Ahoy me hearties! Are your children ready to embark on a sunken ship adventure?
Riverlife are conducting an adventure tour of the waters at Kangaroo Point and require participants aged 8 to 18 to join the hunt for the shipwreck vessel
Myora, a nineteenth century steamship.
Adventurers meet at the Riverlife Adventure Centre (
Naval Shores, Lower River Terrace, Kangaroo Point), where they will be taught to kayak, receive a safety briefing and be fitted for equipment. Once that's out of the way, they set sail (or kayak) down the Brisbane River in search of sunken ships.
Make sure your child dons his or her best pirate costume, as prizes will be awarded for the best costume, and also to the first person to spot the ship, and comprise more exciting adventure activities like rock climbing or skate boarding.
The Kids Shipwreck Adventure takes place on various dates throughout December. This activity costs $25 per person and all participants must be over the age of eight. Parents are welcome to join in.
