In its fifth year this year, the
Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival will be running from 22 to 24 October in celebration of folk music, dancing and arts & crafts.
With a stellar line up of local and visiting acts, including, Totally Gourdgeous with Mal Webb, Nick Rheinberger, Doc Jones' Lechery Orchestra, Kate Rowe, Miriam Lieberman, EcoBeaT, Big Erle, Orange Blossom, The Pennys, Chris Gillespie and the Wandering Hands, visitors will be able to get up close and personal with the
performers.
But it's not just about standing and listening to great music being played; it'll also be about getting involved with dance workshops running throughout the festival from bush dancing through to Finish dancing and rustic French dancing.
Plus, the top five poems of the four categories of the popular
Bush Poetry Competition – Youth, Adult and The Crystal Creek Meadows Bush Poetry Award –will be read before trophies will be presented to the winners by renowned bush poet Greg North.
A covered outdoor session bar will have fantastic views of the Valley's trademark red sandstone cliffs.
Other highlights this year will be the kid's festival, art & craft tent, chai tent and market stalls. To see the full program for the weekend
