You saw the T-Mobile dance with over a hundred dancers breaking into Beyonce's Single Ladies on a crowded London platform, and then there was the massive Black Eyed Peas flashmob that took place on Oprah in Chicago where crowds went wild dancing.

Flashmob culture has reached cult status all over the world and now you do not have to gape in wonderment as people around you jump into the crowd and break into some smooth moves. Sydney Flashmob, a group that convenes specifically to surprise and stun through flashmobs, hosts frequent events listed via its Facebook group.

Silly Walks
Silly Walks is what it basically is - walking silly. Borrowed from the comic stylings of Monty Python, the organizers are seeking people to take part in a silly walk on 18 December at a top secret location. Interested parties can visit the facebook event page here.

Cosplay Flashmob
If you love to dress up like a funky Japanese character, the Cosplay flashmob is for you. The group is aiming to flash the public in their colorful costumes on 11 February and is due to take place in Sydney CBD. Join them here.

Worldwide Echelon Flashmob
The organizers are not quite clear as to what exactly is going to happen in this particular mob, but there are some definitive costume requirements. Attendees have been instructed to wear a Pierrot mask, white gloves and white shoes. Furthermore a black shirt with a white triad and black pants are required. Organizers are providing the Pierrot mask. Join them here.

Finally, if you cannot get enough of flash-mobbing, check out the original Sydney Flashmob group for a constant stream of updates on all their activities. Happy flash-mobbing!
