A playground & recreation area at Marshall Reserve, Geelong

JF Field Park is a children's playground located at Marshall Reserve in Marshall, Geelong.

Located at the corner of Barwon Heads and Marshalltown Roads, this playground has a wide variety of play equipment for younger children.

The playground equipment includes a swing set with toddler swing and regular swing, a boat, see-saw, slides, a 'shop front', noughts and crosses set, and a spinner.

There is also a basketball hoop and small concrete area next to the playground:

In between the basketball area and playground, there is a picnic table and seating, for those wanting to sit down and watch the kids play, or have a picnic lunch:

A public tennis court is also located next to the playground, with the J F Field Memorial Pavilion adjacent to the tennis court:

Overall, it seems like a nice, small playground for children to have a run around in. The one thing I'd keep in mind when planning a visit with children is that it is unfenced, and is located next to Barwon Heads road, which is a busy road with a 70km speed limit.

Marshall Reserve also extends further along, through to Tamala Avenue, for those wanting to go for a short walk or let the kids run around on the grass.

Parking: Free Parking is available on nearby roads.
The playground is also located within walking distance of Marshall Railway Station (which offers service to Waurn Ponds, Geelong and Melbourne), and Rice Village Retirement Village Bus Stop.
