is a must-go event for all jazz lovers!

Catch the artists' live performances and bedazzled by a plethora of tunes of their improvisations and rhythms. Most of the live performances are free.

Big Band Sundays at 7:15PM and 8:30PM brings you favourites and popular pieces of the swing band golden era with SP Jazz Band, Thomson Big Band, Thomson Swing Band, and Summertimes Big Band.



Rani Singam, Dawn Ho, Michelle Poh, and Andayoma take turn to serenade you on Friday nights 7:30PM and 8:45PM at Outdoor Theatre.


Tan Wei Xiang, one of Singapore's most talented young jazz pianists and composers, with his piano trio wei lll will give a sneak peek into his new album inspired by the early bebop era of Bud Powell, Dizzy Gillespie, and Thelonious Monk.


Don't miss The Swing of Musicals: Jazz Interpretations of Classic Showtunes by Lester Ang Trio on 29 July.


Regi Leo, who is regarded as one of Singapore's finest guitarists by music critics and international entertainment publications, will present his original music and and creatively rearranged jazz standards.


Kelvin Ng, a master of blues harmonica and a major blues talent in South East Asia, will perform his powerful and musical harmonica style together with his bandmates.


Foreign jazz musicians such as Corey Manders (Canada), Felix Peikli (Norway), Aya Sekine (Japan), Tim Stocker (Australia), and Gabriel Hernandez (Cuba) are joining these events too.



SME Trio explores the colours of bebop and post-bop through the most common jazz combinations in the '70s.


The Second String Project performs their original compositions, fusing jazz with classical and traditional music from around the globe.


Australia baritone saxophonist Tim Stocker and Singaporean jazz guitarist Andrew Lim will showcase their skills on 18 July.


Eight young musicians who are mentored by established Singapore jazz musicians and music educators under Esplanade's popular jazz mentorship programme, make their debuts at the Café 21 Living Room (Concourse).


Talk Series is held on Sundays from 3:30PM to 4:30PM at library@esplanade. The venue is at level 3 of the building. All talks are free of charge.

Jazz guitarist and Berklee College of Music trained music educator Az Samad will share his insights on the connections between Malay and American jazz in The Musical Secrets of Malay Jazz on 17 July.

Different ways of listening to Jazz by Tim Stocker will be held on 24 July. Tim is Baritone Saxophonist who spent almost 6 year tenure in NYC from 2010.

The series will end with Introduction to Latin Jazz on 31 July. The speaker is Alina Ramirez, a Mexican pianist and composer.
