Sydney's premier annual
Jazz festival is back and promises to be bigger and better this year. This star studded event to be held at Darling Harbour from 21-23rd May 2010 has a stellar line up of Australian and international Jazz soul and blues talent including
James Morrison, Ash Grunwald and
Harry Manx.
The program highlights and venues are listed
here. Friday night promises to turn the work week blues into a groovy night with afro-beat and reggae sounds of The Strides. The night ends with fireworks at the harbour. Saturday and Sunday will be days for big city Jazz and rhythmic ballads of small town blues. The event showcases an Open-Mic Stage for those wanting to show-off their talent in jazz, blues, soul or R&B skills.
If Yum Cha interests you along with jazz then right around the corner is the Chinese Garden that will play you host for a
Yum Cha and the Jim Pennell Duo will jazz up the evening.
Another exciting option if you are looking for something a little more intimate is to head up to the
jazz club on the deck of the South Steyne for sessions of live jazz.
With a eclectic weekend of live music and presented across 5 stages, this event promises loads of good time for the entire family and mates.
