Off the Cuff was written and recorded with world renown guitarist, Chris Finnen. Chris was recently inducted into the American Guitarist Hall of Fame, alongside the likes of Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy.

During a recent interview Jay said, "Chris is one my best friends and it was an absolute honour and a pleasure to spend time in the studio creating and recording this album. Chris is one of the most amazing characters I've ever met. He is a living legend in my mind, a virtuoso musician, a wise wizard on the art of life, as well as being a mentor to all young musicians, constantly sharing all he can to teach and inspire."
Jay said, "We wanted to have a spontaneous and raw vibe to this album. We did not hear each other's compositions until we met in the studio to start recording these tracks, so there was a large element of surprise with plenty of room for improvisation and creativity. This album gave us an opportunity to create songs and soundscapes that we wouldn't necessarily put on one of our own CD'S. They say it takes two to tango, and tango we did! Enjoy."

Only 2 songs Chris has recorded before. The song Feelings, which features a monumental guitar solo. Chris wrote the song in 1978. It has not been recorded on an album before. Back in 1972 Chris recorded it with Matt Taylor, who liked the tune, but wrote his own words to it."
During our interview Chris said, "This music would not have been possible without the insistance of our friend, the late Jhn Edwardson, who felt if we met each other something would happen. It did. This is the result, pure ancient and modern alchemy."
Chris said, " I regard Jay as a dear friend. This music is some of the most pleasurable I have ever experienced. I am so happy with this album."
