On a slightly grey and drizzly day in good old Melbourne we visited in Carnegie. Kids don't care if it's damp and grey, they just see the bright coloured play equipment and imagine the adventures they can have on a new playground. For them it's new, as we haven't been before.

The park is large with an adjoining football field and wetlands. The playground is a maze of conjoined play equipment, with slides, bridges, rope ladders and so on.

The playground has a frog theme which I assume is from the wetlands next door.

Free standing play equipment includes a frog see saw, a set of swings, a large climbing frame with four jumping mats, a musical walk way and frogs on springs. There is also an all abilities playground.

There are frog signs, wooden frog sculptures, a very large rubber frog that is part of the playground matting and googly frog eyes which actually stand proud of the matting.

Great for a little frog enthusiast.

Being school holidays the park was popular despite the weather with two separate birthday parties and other families enjoying a BBQ. On a nice day I assume it would be extremely popular with the locals, especially weekends.

Facilities include plenty of free car parking, toilets, BBQs, picnic tables with shade sails, children's picnic tables, and a rotunda with a picnic table.

There are also leash free areas, a velodrome, cricket pitch, footy field and walking paths.

There is much to enjoy at
