It is really a pity that there is no law that exists to enforce the mandatory service of good food. The mixture of satisfaction and euphoria that one experiences after consuming a wonderful meal is unparalleled, and should be a frequent if not every day occurrence. Indian Temptations is a testament to just that. Every bite is an explosion of spices in your mouth, and coupled with their Naan bread or Pilau rice, the flavours flirt wonderfully, leaving you wanting for nothing.
Driving down Main North Road, it is impossible to escape the aroma that wafts from the restaurant. Located just a short drive North of Adelaide, Indian Temptations is a diamond in the rough. The premises are frayed and the first time a friend took me there, I was apprehensive about the aesthetics. Nothing about the restaurant could have prepared me for the party I had in my mouth that night. If you are dining as a couple or a large group of friends, the staff at Indian Temptations will always accommodate you, and the neighbouring streets offer ample and convenient parking. Despite the modest size of the restaurant, it can service quite a considerable number of people, with outside seating available as well.
The cherry on the cake? Indian Temptations is open until 4am seven days a week. If you are heading home from a late shift or hungry after a night out and looking for a decent meal at friendly prices, this is your spot. The spices are sure to give you a kick and ward off that winter chill. If you don't feel like dining in, there is the option of ringing up and placing your order, and twenty minutes later you will be joining me in culinary heaven.
So if you have driven down Main North Road or walked past and been tempted to go in but thought twice, trust the rumbling in your tummy and don't judge a book by its cover. Flip the pages and enjoy what is undoubtedly the best Indian food in Adelaide.
