Melbourne Museum

IMAX at Melbourne Museum boasts the third largest cinema screen in the world. At 32 x 23 metres, it's as tall as a three-story apartment block and heaps more fun to watch. This month, they're offering a buy one, get one free deal to further entice you in.

All you have to do is download the voucher here and make your booking. It has to be for the same session - obviously - and is valid only during February.

IMAX films last around 45 minutes, with some screened in 3D, just to blow your mind further. Selections for February include 'Extreme' (extreme sports); 'Tornado Alley' (stormchasers); 'Born to be Wild' (orangutan and elephant rescue), 'Happy Feet 2' and, fittingly, the biggest band on the biggest screen, 'Rolling Stones at the Max'.

IMAX Melbourne Museum is at Melbourne Museum, Rathdowne Street - Carlton Gardens, Carlton South.

Open every day except Christmas Day from 9.45am until late
(Anzac Day opening time is 12pm).
