Valentine's Day

As Valentine's Day dawns upon us, it is recognized as the grand day for couples to show their love, but for those who are single, it can be a day of misery, loneliness, and heartache.

This article will outline ways for all the single people out there to survive the dreaded day for some. So let's get started with five tips to relieve the pain of being single on Valentine's Day

Tip 1- This tip is the most general. Just eat chocolate. Research has shown that chocolate causes the release of neurotransmitters which sends positive signals around the brain and instills delight in the thoughts of those who eat it. Just as people eat chocolates after a bad break up, you may also eat them to ease the misery of being single on Valentine's.

Tip 2- There are plenty of other single people out there. If you have another friend, or friends, who are single, why not get together with them and make your own style of enjoyment? In summary, just be together and spend the day with them to take your mind off the day.

Tip 3- Bars can be a best friend for single people on Valentine's day, but not for necessarily drinking. Bars are a popular hub for other single people to hang around. It's a sure place for you to have the chance of meeting someone, especially considering some of Sydney bars such as the Stilth Bar in York Street are holding singles parties on the day.

Tip 4- This next tip is more of a philosophical one. You must remember that you shouldn't strive to live your life for finding love, rather living life for moment to moment. Being in the moment to be exact and not dwelling on whether future moments will bring you future love. In essence, live life as it is and be happy for what you currently have. Hopefully, this tip is not too sentimental.

Tip 5- A final tip for singles on Valentine's Day is to avoid any place which harbours as a Valentine's Haven for adorning couples. Restaurants, cinemas, retreats, and picnic areas are popular venues for Valentine's couples so if you are really emotional about being single, it is best to try to avoid these venues.

In summary, abiding by these tips can allow single people to survive the misery that can be associated with being single on Valentine's Day.
