Workouts are great because you know you're losing calories each time you have one, but nobody really knows how effective their workout is, so here are some tips to know you're getting the most out of your workout.
Start off really slowly, for example stepping up and down on some stairs, slightly go faster after the one minute mark. This will get your heart rate pumping and get you prepared for what's next.
Jump on an exercise machine such as the bike, treadmill or cross trainer. Go at a steady pace and then slowly go faster once your body becomes used to the machine.
Do this for about ten minutes, hop off and do ten jumping jacks or something that involves cardio.
Move onto a different machine, or the same one and go for fifteen minutes, then hop off and do a minute cardio sprint.
Continue this for about 40 minutes or an hour, depending on how long you exercise for.
This type of workout will get your heart pumping, and your body will get used to the fast paced workout over time.
