I may not have been born in the 80's, but I still grew up watching the films, and wishing that I was an 80's kid. What better way to reminisce than to host your own 80's movie night?

Weekend at Bernies (1989)
"What kind of a host invites you to his house for the weekend and dies on you?"

Two young guys (Richard and Larry) are invited to spend the weekend at their Boss's (Bernie) beach house. Bernie's intentions may sound good but his plans were to have Richard and Larry killed. However when they arrive to their surprise Bernie is dead. Instead of letting anybody know about the death, they pretend to treat the dead body of Bernie as a man who is alive so that they can still enjoy their weekend at the beach house.

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
"Professor of archeology, expert on the occult, and how does one say it? Obtainer of rare antiquities."

What is there to say about Indiana Jones? Just watch the movie. You won't regret it.

The Lost Boys (1987)
"Don't ever invite a vampire into your house, you silly boy. It renders you powerless."

A family of 3 move to a small town in California, which happens to be swarming with vampires. Sam, the youngest brother starts to find weird habits about his older brother Mike. He has been warned about the Vampires but until now he hasn't believed it. He enlists the help of two young vampire hunters to help save the fate of his brother.

Back To The Future (1985)
"Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean?"

Back To The Future is hands down one of the best trilogies ever made. Of course the first one is my favourite. Back To The Future is set in 1985 when Doc Brown invents time travel. Marty McFly is sent back to 1955 and while he is there he mistakenly prevents his parents from meeting which puts his life at risk. Now Marty McFly has to do everything he can to make sure his parents meet and fall in love so he can be born.

E.T. (1982)
"E.T. phone home."

One day a young boy named Elliot comes across a small lost alien. He calls him E.T. Elliot is trying to find a way for E.T. to go back to wherever it is he came from. The more time Elliot spends with the little guy the more attached he finds himself to him, and he doesn't want to let him go, but if he keeps him then E.T. will never be able to go home again.

Beetlejuice (1988)
"We're not completely helpless, Barbara. I've been reading that book and there's a word for people in our situation: ghosts."

Adam and Barbara are a recently dead couple. They are trapped in their house and have been enjoying the peace and quiet, until a family buys the house. Adam and Barbara try to scare the family away but all their efforts fail, so they call in the people exorciser of the ghost world known as Beetlejuice.

Princess Bride (1987)
"Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something."

A young kid is home sick from school so his Grandpa comes over to read this book to him, against his wishes of course. The Princess Bride is known as a tale of true love, high adventure, pirates, princesses, fencing, death, miracles, anything you could think of really.

When Harry Met Sally (1989)
"Harry, you're going to have to try and find a way of not expressing every feeling that you have, every moment that you have them."

When Harry and Sally first meet they don't particularly get along. As the years go by you see them in different stages of their lives and bumping into each other several times. Eventually they become very close friends and have the perfect friendship. As the tagline suggests, they have constantly been questioning; "Can a man and a woman be friends, without sex getting in the way?"

Ghostbusters (1984)
"Ray. If someone asks if you are a god, you say, "yes!"

Three crazy scientists have recently been kicked out of their positions at a university in New York City. Low on cash they decide to set up a shop and become Ghostbusters. They go around trapping ghosts, spirits and whatever else supernatural they can find.

The Goonies (1985)
"Goonies never say die!"

The best young kids adventure film you will ever watch. Ever.
