Starting tomorrow night the
Hola Mexican Film Festival will be running until the 7th of December at the
Dendy Cinemas in
Newtown and
Opera Quays.
The
Opening Night Fiesta will have you thinking about keeping your Movemeber Mo into 2009 after indulging in some Mexican music, food, tequila, and beer.
The feature of the opening night will be
Blood Of My Blood (Sangre De Mi Sangre) which won the 2008 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
Tickets are $45 and you can run some down by calling 02 9247 3800.
Of course there are lots of other
great films to see during the festival. One which has been recommended to me is
40 Dias (40 Days) which is the Mexican take on the coming of age road trip genre.
Why? Tacos and Beer are a winning combination.
