On Sunday, 26th June, one of Melbourne's most beloved collectables and hobby shows returns - The Hobby Leisure & Collectors Carnival!Now in its 16th year, this family-friendly carnival will be staged in Springvale Town Hall, 397 - 405 Springvale Road from 9am to 3pm.
The fun-filled event guarantees to keep enthusiasts and families alike enthralled with over 150 stallholders spread over two halls!As part of the festivities, the highly popular annual Melbourne Card Collectors Expo is making a welcome return and patrons will find a wide range of collectable trading cards, playing and postcards, phone cards, confectionary cards and cigarette cards from the past 100 years for sale.Plus there's the sought after limited edition and specially tagged Commemorative Beanie Kids from past years which will be on offer to randomly selected patrons at the door!The Melbourne Meccano Club display is back and will showcase a range of models that illustrate the development of Meccano from its early days up to the current range.
Other featured events include the Movie, Music and Sporting Memorabilia Fair catering for collectors of memorabilia and nostalgia, including movie posters and related signed memorabilia. Meanwhile sport lovers will enjoy the range of sport related items such as Olympics, all football codes including AFL, motor racing, cricket, basketball and more. Autograph hunters will find many autographs in all sporting areas along with related books and WEG posters.
To fill the gap in the collecting scene, there's the Lost In Time - Toys 'N' Dolls Fair. It includes lots of vintage, modern and collectable toys and childhood memorabilia such as wind up, friction and battery-operated plastic and tin toys, model kits, trains, miniatures and more. The choice of diecast models will be extensive, with obsolete and current issues available from most leading manufacturers. Sci-fi buffs will find the latest and vintage Star Wars and other science fiction merchandise and memorabilia. Barbies, teddies, celebrity and character dolls, fantasy and action figures, Beanie Kids and the list goes on and on.
In addition to these great fairs, there will also be a Collectables, Nostalgia and Small Antiques Fair, offering china, pottery, porcelain, glassware, kitchenalia, Coca-Cola memorabilia, militaria, comics, books, stamps, coins and just about anything else you could think of!
All this in one location for one entry fee! Plus free parking on site and easy access from Springvale Railway Station.
