In July, Modest Mouse cancelled a show at the Williamsburg Waterfront but is back on Tuesday, September 14 to play a benefit for the
Open Space Alliance, which works to improve Brooklyn's urban experience. This summer, they added a new kayak launch and skateboard park, renovated the pool, and planted trees near subsidized house and in parks. OSA, as they are known, plan to continue "greening" north Brooklyn with renovated sports facilities, bird-friendly gardens, a fishing pier, and playgrounds.
Williamsburg Waterfront continues their open-air shows with indie rock icons, Pavement—the most anticipated reunion tour of the year. These recently reunited rockers bring you their unique brand of songwriting on Sunday, September 19. Don't miss the equally alluring opening act, Jenny and Johnny, as in Jenny Lewis (of Rilo Kiley) and singer-songwriter Jonathan Rice.
It's a full-on Scottish invasion on Thursday, September 30 when the sweet tunes of Belle & Sebastian and the diverse alt-rock of Teenage Fanclub grace the waterfront stage. Check the OSA
events schedule and get out before the cold sets in!
