Nothing beats the beauty and tranquillity of nature – but blisters, mosquitoes and sleeping on the ground can certainly put a damper on your experience. Why should you have to rough it when you can explore the Australian bush in complete comfort?
See south east Queensland's Scenic Rim in comfort and style.
Hidden Peak Walks provides customers with three and four day packages that showcase the secrets of the Aussie bush without the discomfort of hiking and camping. The walks explore the Spicers Peak Nature Refuge, a 2000 hectare conservation park that houses several species of endangered and vulnerable animals, and the Main Range National Park. Accommodation is provided by the five star
Spicers Peak Lodge.
All packages include guided walks along private tracks, luxury camping at Spicers Canopy, accommodation at Spicers Peak Lodge, all meals and drinks (include a seven course degustation meal) and return private coach to and from Brisbane. Guest to tour guide ratio is kept at ten to two. Depending on the package, you might be exploring deep canyons, expansive eucalypt forest, water holes or a cattle station.
Hidden Peaks Walks is also an accredited eco-tourist experience that minimises its damage to the environment by remaining small and exclusive, by practicing environmental and socially sustainable practices and by informing and involving guests in sustainable practices.
This experience involves a fair amount of walking so a moderate level of fitness is recommended.
