The Hi-5 House Hits Live Australian tour will see Hi-5 return to the stage in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, and Melbourne this July school holidays. The tour follows sold out shows throughout Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.
Hi-5 asked the fans what their favourite Hi-5 hits were, and then put them all together to create a sing-a-long, dance-a-long concert that the whole family can join in with.
In a recent interview with Hi-5 member Lauren Brant (above, centre), I asked her why parents should invest in the cost of taking their kids to a Hi-5 Live show. Lauren was excited to explain that the Hi-5 producers consistently work with early childhood education specialists. The shows and live tour incorporate fun and educational elements throughout, as well as teaching the kids (
and parents too, Brant insists) the coolest Hi-5 dance moves.
Every song has special interactive elements, which helps the kids learn, and also makes
them the stars of the show.
Speaking of stars, I asked Brant for her advice to kids who want to be "rock stars" like her and the Hi-5 gang when they grow up. She responded, "No matter what it is [that you want to be], I just think that if you love something, that's going to give you the energy to try your hardest, and always practice, and get up when you're knocked down, and eventually to succeed in what you want to do; find what you love, and pursue that."From big classic hits like
L.O.V.E. and
Making Music with the whole Hi-5 gang, to sweet solos, duets, and trios from Mary, Stevie, Dayen, Ainsley, and Lauren; there will be plenty of surprises too, and of course Chats and Jup Jup will be joining in on the fun throughout the show.
A few essential facts for you that I squeezed out of Lauren during our recent chat:
Chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin? Oatmeal raisin.
Apple juice or orange juice? Orange juice.
Cupcake or macaron? Cupcake.
Bucket list concert location? Brazil, we have some amazing fans there.
I also asked Brant to share any interesting or little known facts about herself, and I found out about her children's clothing line.
LoliBoli is a clothing label for little girls, celebrating all things girly and all things childhood. Check out the site for a variety of girls' dresses and dance clothes, and some Hi-5 gear for boys and girls.
Tickets for all shows are now on sale. Tickets starting at $32.50;
