Make your community brighter by helping to paint a mural
Like to try your hand at painting? If you enjoy helping your local community or if you just want to help paint this giant mural near the City, then this is the event for you and most ages can participate in this project!
This idea is based on the on the success of the community mural which was created for Smith Street and the Housing Authority. The following video features Melski and two other artists who created another project also involving our native Flora and Fauna. This one was done in Bassendean.
The mural will start off looking something like this, though this is not the actual one being used in Highgate.

Melski has now been asked to create another mural for the Stirling Street side of the Stirling Towers Development Site. This has been designed around Pardalotes, Banksia, Blue Bees and our native Waratah and the design celebrates the spectacular native flora and fauna that we are so fortunate to have here in Western Australia.
The event will take place on Saturday 17th June, from 9 am to 12 pm and all are invited to come on down and help paint this huge paint-by-numbers mural.

You do not require any artistic skill to participate as you will be following the numbers - they are asking that you just "bring a smile and wear your paint clothes"! Even your children can do their bit by helping to paint, as long as they are able to draw properly, and are not too young.
