- 32 Tunstall Square Doncaster East- has been operating as a successful restaurant since 1981 by Vijay Lamba, a manager with over 15 years of experience. The chefs are all backed with 15-35 years of experience, having worked in quality hotels in India.

This is not your average run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant. Instead, it provides a quality of service and food far above the more accessible Indian eateries in food-courts and shopping centres.

Prices are extremely reasonable regardless of the dish, and the dishes are filled with flavour, providing customers with a range of dishes from the various parts of India.

On any given night, this restaurant is humming with happy customers, all keen to enjoy the 'Haveli experience'. Thus, although walk-ins may be successful, it would be wiser to book ahead to avoid disappointment. For those of you who aren't able to book a table, there's always a very reasonably priced take-away option.

The restaurant operates during lunch from Wednesday to Friday from 12-2:30pm, and Sundays for a South Indian Buffet Brunch between 11:30 am and 2:30pm (which are always extremely popular). Dinners are 7 days a week between 6pm and 10:30pm (except Good Friday and Christmas Day).

While waiting for food, diners can be entertained by watching a chef operating the tandoori oven through a glass window. As a child, I have fond memories of even being allowed into the kitchen (always in a safe manner) to experience the buzzing, and smell the rich smell of the various spices hovering in the atmosphere.

This is the perfect location for a celebratory meal, or simply an enjoyable night out with family and friends.
