Driving up to the Dandenongs has to be one of the pleasures of living in or near Melbourne at any time of the year.

Springtime is always a picture, and if you love flowers, then a visit to the in Menzies Creek, it just has to be on your "must do" list. Admission is free.

During September, the gardens are open Saturdays through Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

With display gardens of spectacular blooms of 200 daffodil varieties (and you thought there were only a few); large undercover flower displays, as well as other spring flowering bulbs, it's essential that you have your camera with you during your visit.

With a competition of "Name the Daffodil"; fresh cut flowers and potted daffodils, you'll be sure to go home with a carload of "blooming sunshine".

Groups are catered for, too. However, it's essential that bookings are made in advance.
