ReStore Charity Op-shops provide valuable resources for Habitat for Humanity's assisted housing program, but they are more treasure trove than traditional charity stores for bargain hunters.

The Kilsyth ReStore, located at 2/128-134 Canterbury Road, has recently launched a Saturday car boot sale market on the 1st Saturday of every month until May. For only $15 per space, everyone is welcome to come sell unwanted goods and reservations can be made by calling 8720 9200.

Kilsyth ReStore is open Monday to Friday 9am 4.30pm and Saturday 9am 1pm.

The second Habitat for Humanity's ReStore is located at 17 Henry Wilson Drive in Rosebud. Tucked away in the industrial part of town, I can personally assure you that this one is well worth finding.

The Rosebud ReStore is open Monday to Friday 10am 4pm and Saturday 10am 1pm.

Not your traditional charity store, ReStores also sell online and advertise everything from doors, platform ladders, wall and floor tiles to filing cabinets.

With their motto being "Hand up, not a hand out", Habitat for Homes works to assist low-income families into affordable housing. So far, Habitat for Homes has helped over 4 million people in over 90 different countries, and they are always grateful for contributions and assistance.

There are many different ways you can assist this community-based organisation, from donating unwanted goods to their op-shops to cash donations. Donations can be made via the website and amounts over $2 are tax deductible.

If you have the means, volunteers are always sought both off-site at a committee level, and tradespeople with the necessary skills and tools are also high appreciated.

For more information regarding Habitat for Humanity, please refer to their website or Facebook page.
