Immerse your children in nature play and organic food these school holidays, with in Carrum, South East Melbourne.

Amy and Jade, who run the Growing Green Thumbs program, teach regular gardening sessions with students at Bonbeach Primary School and wider community throughout the year.

This Easter, children from all over Melbourne are invited to participate in two hands-on workshops, with an aim to connect kids with organic food from the source.

Seed Bomb Making, 5 April 2017

If your kids love getting mud in between their fingers then this is a guaranteed morning of fun. Watch as they immerse themselves in the therapeutic connection with earth and use their fine motor skills to create seed bombs - little balls of organic matter filled with plant seeds. Take them home and fling into your garden and watch as their little creations bloom to life to create a beautiful herb or flower garden.



All materials supplied, just bring appropriate clothing for outdoor activities. Gloves and aprons are provided.

Age appropriate for 4yrs - 60 yrs.
Children under 4yrs free with parent present

D.I.Y Edible Garden for Kids, 8 April 2017

Bring the family and join in with a fun filled morning of planting your own edible produce box to take home. Learn how to easily grow your own vegetables, and enjoy feasting from your organic mini garden at home. This workshop will provide your family with hours of simple, easy, seasonal fun and learning.

Workshops are held in gardens of Beach Lane in Carrum, a wholesome cafe serving delicious eats, just minutes away from one of Melbourne's best beaches on the bay.
