As the leaves change colour and the grapes have been taken off the vines, Red Hill is a perfect place to go for a wander and something yummy to eat. Green Olive is just that place, it is "food for the heart and soul".
This award winning winery and restaurant awaiting your arrival
Whether the sun is shining or it is overcast or even raining, it doesn't matter, Green Olive will warm you up with tapas and wine, with most of the produce coming directly from the farm and garden. Minted lamb meatballs, pork and fennel sausages, freshly made frittatas, dips and cheeses make for a perfect lunch, sitting inside or out. Accompanied by coffee or a glass of wine, a long leisurely lunch surrounded by the colours of changing trees, vines and dam will make you think that you should in fact, do this more often.
After lunch, why not stroll around the property and take in the water views and resident ducks, the beautiful autumn coloured leaves on the vines and the olive trees bending with the weight of ripening olives. Your children won't be bored either. There is an in-ground trampoline, Bessie, the pony, Pisa, the Maremma dog as well as 3 kelpies and lots of space to run around and explore.
There is also a gift shop bursting with gifts related to olives and cooking. There are olives in ceramic jars, marinating jars, condiments, jams and household gifts made of olive wood, soap made from olives and lots more to ponder over while waiting for your order to come through. You can also order some gifts and gift vouchers online.
