5 Great Morning Exercises

Exercising before breakfast? For real? Yes. Exercising is so important for our physical health, so start your day with some exercise and finish it up with some exercise.

Not sure what exercises are appropriate for the morning? There's loads, so here are five great ones you can do.

1 - Walking around the block
Put on a hat and your walking sneakers and go for a brisk walk around your neighborhood. It doesn't even have to be that long, a 15 minute round trip is perfect to get your heart pumping for the morning.

2 - Spin bike
Hop on the spin bike before breakfast and try and go as fast as you can for five minutes. Stand up and pedal for ten seconds, then rest for ten seconds. Try doing this and increasing your fast pedaling time. Do this each morning five times a week, and your legs should feel stronger.

3 - Run on the spot
Don't have time to go for a real run or can't run at all? Stand in one place, preferably outside and just jog on the spot. Do this for five minutes, and build your time up by a minute each week that you think you're fit enough to do it at. Great way to get your heart racing in the morning.

4 - Swimming
If you live near the pools, sign up for a pool membership. Three times a week having a good swim for half an hour to an hour will make you feel so much better. Try going first thing in the morning, you'll feel refreshed and great for the rest of the day.

5 - Body Twisting
This might sound painful but it's really not. Stand straight with your legs apart a little. Stretch your arms out then twist to one side, then twist to the other. Hold your position once you've twisted for a second and a half. This gets rid of belly fat and is a great exercise to do. You can do 20 twists for each side, do as many as you can in 2 minutes or play a song and do as many as you can while the song is on.

Find time to exercise, otherwise you never will. Mornings are a great time to exercise if you wake up at around 6am. You can do these exercises at any time of the day, but I have chosen them to be the best exercises you can do in the morning.
