Organised by The Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra, on behalf of The Federation of Australasian Mandolin Ensembles, this orchestral event will feature the participation of over 70 talented Australian and international guitarists and mandolinists.
The concert event will be presided over by two celebrated Australian conductors; Stephen Lalor from Sydney, himself a virtuoso mandolinist, and member of several folkloric groups as well as mandolinist for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Robert Schulz from Perth, an accomplished guitarist and mandolinist, founder of the Western Australian Mandolin Orchestra, and teacher.
Come along and enjoy a spectacular evening of unique renditions of classical, popular and original works; the soloist programme highlights include:
"Sonatine in C" by Beethoven (Marissa Carroll, virtuoso and music graduate from QLD)
"Eclipse" by Michelle Nelson - well-known Melbourne composer (mandola Darryl Barron)
"Tangata de Agosta" by Maximo Pujol (guitar Joel Woods)
An all ages event, the 'Grand Festival Concert of Massed Guitars and Mandolins' makes for great family entertainment the summer.
All tickets are priced $20 and children under the age of 12 can attend free of charge.

Thank you for the article you wrote for us - we had a marvellous audience, and I certainly intend to use weekendnotes.com for all our concert advertising - I've also recommended it to other groups I was with at the Camp.
