All the fun of The Glennie School Fair on Open Day 2017. It's family fun introducing your children to new experiences while raising funds for a worthwhile cause. Camel rides, inspecting a military helicopter and being involved in dance or music as part of the school curriculum. 'All She Can Be' is the school's motto.

Fundraising for the school was assured of success; the fair was packed out. Stalls of cold drinks were in demand under the sun and shady trees of the luscious grounds. Ben's Pop Up Picnic was excited about fundraising with all takings going to school for things like equipment and scholarships.

A big buzz formed around the main stage where mums, dads and mates took in the Junior Ensemble with a big contingent of brass, great percussion and a sax quartet. Dance Central flew across the stage in several troops. Flashes of red, ostrich feathers and zebra stripes leapt fluidly with energy. The Big Band, Jazz Ensemble, Youth Jazz and Woodwind Ensemble were others to grace the stage. The Hospitality Stage presented entertaining drama, a string quartet, choral group, Poetry Corner and the Glennie Singers and Adelphi Strings.

A Nutrimetics stall popped up, a familiar sight in regional markets, hot chips and other munchies, 2nd 2 None Wines with bottles: Muscat Liqueur $15; 12 bottles on special offers; by the glass $5. Cheeky names: Ginger Zinger, 50 Shades of Red and Mischief. Teresa's Easel original artwork, workshops, prints, greeting cards. Taekwondo generated some interest, Your Inspiration at Home gets around with their dips, dukkas, seasonings, rubs and glaces to tantalize the tongue. Handbags, jewellery, Zhi Ba Candles and origami brought more variety.

The Glennie boarding school encourages their girls in music, sport, dance and other education, to reach their highest academic standards. Self esteem and character are a big message that is obvious in the decorum of the students.

Historical buildings adorn the grounds as a beautiful backdrop for the full life of the school. Loads of sponsors favoured the Fair including; Burling Brown Sideshow Alley, Downs Office Equipment & Supplies and E-Computing Wine Bar. You can show your support for the event in 2018.
