Camping is no longer roughing it or having to cart around a whole bunch of gear. In fact, there are a range of innovative tourism products such as pop-up glamping tents, retro caravans and luxury holiday parks that are attracting the next-gen campers.

So here are some modern ways to enjoy a caravan and camping experience in NSW over the warmer months:

Flash Camp

Flash Camp has been called 'Australia's premier pop-up hotel'. They provide temporary luxury camping accommodation at some great festivals including Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival

A forthcoming event will be the Clark Island Sydney Harbour pop up. Glampers will enjoy waking up to beautiful vistas over Sydney Harbour and feasting on food by the award-winning Three Blue Ducks team.

Or visit the much coveted Byron Bay where glamping tents will be set up over the summer holiday period. The team from popular Newrybar eatery Harvest will be on site each day create glamourous breakfasts for campers.

Glorious Glamp

Heading south from Sydney and there are also a variety of options. Tilba Lake Camp offers luxe camping with delicious local food hampers including Bermagui bread and Tilba dairy. The delightful setting is beautiful between the mountains, lake and the sea



Try four-metre bell tents at your chosen "Glampsite" anywhere between Berry and Huskisson with Glamping Out .



Glamping trailblazers Paperbark Camp combine unique luxury tented accommodation with wonderful food & warm hospitality, in beautiful Jervis Bay. They call it camping for grown-ups.



Or for a safari tent experience try T anja Lagoon Camp located in the beautiful Mimosa Rocks National Park.Luxurious safari tent bedrooms overlook a coastal lagoon. Each tent rests on a spacious deck with it's own bathroom and kitchen facilities allowing you to be fully self contained.



Go Retro

Retro is all the go. The Northern Rivers of NSW is the zenith in camping, offering stunning scenery surrounded by hinterland and endless coastline. RetroPod hire out vintage caravans and tents , which can be set up at a location of your choice in the Byron Bay area including Brunswick Heads, Lennox Head, Pottsville and Hastings Point. With set up, delivery, and gourmet local produce hampers provided, you'll just need to choose a Byron Bay holiday park and you're ready to lob. Talk about camping without fuss.


Simple Pleasures

The Simple Pleasures Camping Co takes the hassle out of camping. Offering all-inclusive glamping packages within NSW, your five-metre bell tent comes complete with carpet, an airbed, cookware. In fact, the only decision you'll need to make is where to set up camp – be it Treachery Camp in Seal Rocks, Lani's Holiday Island at Wallis Lake, Bluey's Beach or Booti Booti National Park.



Graceland

A dedicated Graceland on the Green campsite will be available for festival-goers at the iconic Parkes Elvis Festival in January. Accommodation is often scarce for this festival but you can get comfortable tent accommodation at Northparkes Oval, complete with stretcher beds, mattresses and lighting. Regular shuttles connect festival goers between their camping spot and festival events.
