There are many parks and amazing green spaces around London, and being British, we treasure the tiniest bit of sun, so the bigger parks ironically can get really packed!
Gladstone Park is a much lesser known park, it is in North West London and is a favourite of locals, but because it is hidden away it is always easy to find a quiet spot. Situated in among Dollis Hill, Cricklewood and besides Willsden Green, it is easily accessible form most parts of North West and West London.
The park is made up of hills at the top, and playing fields towards the bottom where the land is a lot flatter. The North of the park, contains conservation areas, a duck pond and benches situated so there are amazing views of London. From the top you can see Wembley stadium, and if you turn south at the highest point, on a clear day you can see views of the London skyline.
The centre of the park, has a traditional children's play area, as well as rope swings made out of nearby trees, and various artifacts that have been there for many years. It is an excellent spot for joggers and avid walkers, as there are routes sign-posted and plenty of sights to see.

I am lucky enough that this park is right down the end of my road so I have the opportunity to visit it everyday. But I definitely recommended it to visitors to the area, as even on the sunniest days, it is not too overrun with people. So it is always peaceful, and great place for a picnic.
