Home > Things to do in Brisbane > Fun for Children | Nature
Event: 02/01/2011 - 27/02/2011
Get outdoors this summer and explore Brisbane's bushlands and wetlands. Get Wild! is a Brisbane City Council initiative offering a massive range of low and no cost activities for adults and children.

The Get Wild! Summer 2010/11 program began on the 1 December with a Mountains to Mangroves bus ride and will end on the 27 February with a Forest Photo Frenzy at the Boondall Wetlands. Volunteer led walks, mini-bus tours and bush care talks take place at regular intervals, while one-off activities include hikes, bike rides, seminars, photography sessions and documentary screenings. See here for the full program.

The Get Wild! program will explore venues like the Boondall Wetlands, Downfall Creek Bushland Centre, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Queensland Herbarium, Karawatha Forest and Nudgee Beach.
