Get Wild! is a Brisbane City Council initiative offering a massive range of low and no cost activities for adults and children.
The Get Wild! Summer 2010/11 program began on the 1 December with a Mountains to Mangroves bus ride and will end on the 27 February with a Forest Photo Frenzy at the Boondall Wetlands. Volunteer led walks, mini-bus tours and bush care talks take place at regular intervals, while one-off activities include hikes, bike rides, seminars, photography sessions and documentary screenings. Boondall Wetlands,
Downfall Creek Bushland Centre,
Brisbane Botanic Gardens,
Queensland Herbarium,
Karawatha Forest and
Nudgee Beach.
