A weekend of great music and fun was experienced in historic Gawler Town. Coupled with the best dining in the Barossa it was sensory overload. The following acts delighted and entertained with diverse genres and repertoires. It all started with the Gawler Town Band ably conducted by Neil Edwards and included renditions of Blue Moon, Crazy little thing called love. There also was a delightful dedication to Bond brought to life by Conductor Connor Roche. Ian and Michelle Hurst were proudly listening and supporting their son Daniel, one of the younger members who played clarinet.

Adelaide City Jazzmen also took part and have been together as a group for 30 years. The Foenander Brothers brought their dulcet rich tones to the Gawler Arms Hotel on Saturday night, as well as a great sense of fun and humour to delight their audience.

On Sunday the Dukes of Jump had the Golden Fleece Hotel patrons jumping and tapping while down the street at the Cafe Nova Lauren Henderson entertained diners enjoying her special sound with their lunch. The final icing on this wonderful musical experience was at the Kingsford Hotel where Bonfire Jazz and Blues, Bonnie Lee Galea delivered renditions of blues, jazz, and great songs with powerful lyrics and moving music.

All in all a great weekend of jazz. Looking forward to what 2017 will bring.
