Whilst spending the day at a garden nursery might not sound like an appealing idea to all, Gardenworld is not your average nursery.
If you don't have the whole day to spare, an hour or two is ideal for Braeside's wacky plant centre - which at times feels more like a museum.
Along with the standard nursery section selling common garden equipment, plants and seeds, the gift shop offers a myriad of unique items both gardening related and miscellaneous.
But what really sets Gardenworld apart from other nurseries is the large section called "Collectors Corner", which includes a large room displaying cacti in a style reminiscent of a desert, and a breathtaking display of bonsai trees.

In addition to these unique galleries are glass cases full of gemstones, meteorites and fossils.
The Gardenworld Cafe caters to all tastebuds at a reasonable price after a long day of shopping, and the resident cockatoo is bound to have kids entertained whilst mum and dad drink their coffees.
A fun and free location for a lazy Sunday afternoon!
