Sunflower Foundation is proudly presenting the Future Girl Cocktail Party on Saturday 29th April, 2017 at The Point restaurant in Albert Park.
This special fundraising event promises to be a memorable evening of live entertainment, delicious food and wine and a celebration of community spirit.
Future Girl is about imagining a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. When girls can enjoy the right to an education, they are more likely to earn a higher income and reinvest that income into supporting their families and contributing to their communities.
To help this dream become a reality, funds raised from the Future Girl Cocktail Party will fund vital projects at the Akili School for Girls in Kenya, including entrepreneurship and computer literacy programs, sanitation infrastructure and environmentally sustainable farming and building initiatives.
This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a fun and engaging night out with family, friends and co-workers and support a great cause.
The event will commence at 7.30pm, there will be a keynote address from Professor Shirley Randell. A member of the Order of Australia, guest speaker, Professor Randell is a champion of gender equality and a leading expert in the public sector and institutional reform in developing countries. She is Founding Director of the Centre for Gender, Culture and Development at the Kigali Institute of Education in Rwanda.
During the evening guests will enjoy live music by seriously talented musicians and can groove the night away with an awesome DJ. There will also be live and silent auctions with some great prizes up for grabs.
Tickets for the event are now on sale and priced $135 each or $1250 for a table of 10, and include all wine, beer, champagne and canapés.
