Featuring over 100 garments from the 1980's until now, QAGOMA's latest exhibition showcases Japanese fashion designers through exciting and unique wearable art. This experience is one-of-a-kind as guests are invited to view the clothing up close in a rare opportunity for fashion students and the general public.

The exhibition is curated by Japanese fashion historian Akiko Fukaiand with the exhibition exploring the sensibility of Japanese design, and its sense of beauty. Photography is not permitted so you will probably want to spend a longer time in the exhibit to soak up as much information about these incredible garments to ponder later.

Included in this touring exhibition is the Future Beauty Pop Up Shop which will allow visitors to purchase items relating to the show for the period it is in the gallery. The Comme des Garçons Pocket Store will be the japanese label's first retail space in Brisbane and customers will be able to shop the Play line, as well as for unique wallets and fragrances.

If you fancy a day out, you can also indulge in the Fashionista Lunch Package which runs from Wed-Sun and features a lunch package insppired by the Future Beauty exhibition at the hatted GOMA Restaurant.
