On almost every night of the week this summer, there is a free movie screening outdoors somewhere in New York City.

The practice is no secret. The most popular of the bunch see hundreds of film fans jammed onto parks, with good reason. The summer ritual offers some of the most pleasant - and scenic - viewing experiences.

So plan ahead and get these dates into your iCal, conveniently organized by day of the week.
