Ever wanted to learn something just for the fun of it? Something silly that you have no real use for except for the fact that it's fun and you can show off to your friends. There are a million easy things that you can learn no matter how old you are, some that you might have always wanted to learn, and all it takes is patience and a bit of practice.
So here are a few suggestions that you might like to try.
Juggling. This is just tossing multiple items up in the air and catching them again. Use something soft like small bean bags or rubber balls to practice with.
Whistling or whistle with your fingers, or an even harder whistle and hum at the same time. Not everyone can whistle so this may not be as easy as it sounds, but basically all you need to do is purse your lips together and blow.
Make Balloon Animals. For this one you will need some long thin balloons. When you have blown then up, twist them into shapes resembling animals or any other pattern you like.
Pick Up Things With Your Toes. Place things on the floor and then try to pick them up using only your toes. Some people can do this without even trying.
Wiggle Your Ears. This needs concentration and co-ordination of the facial muscles. Some people can do this one fairly easily but most people will need to practice.
Write with your other hand. Just hold the pen in the hand you don't usually use for writing and try to write something. It's harder than you think but it can be done.
A Magic Trick. Find an easy magic trick and practice it until you can do it flawlessly.
Make Paper Aeroplanes or Cranes. Folding paper to make different shapes is called origami. It's fairly easy and most people can make paper planes. The crane is not too hard either and there are lots more shapes to try if you like it.
Thread a Coin or Pen Through Your Fingers. Put a coin or pen on your little finger and then proceed to thread it over and under your other fingers and then back again. This one takes a lot of practice and dexterity.
Card Tricks. Find some easy card ticks and practice them until you are really good at them.
Learn Self-Defence. There are different kinds of self-defence and this can be useful to know sometimes. From easy passive self-defence tips to full contact physical self-defence, check out the different types.
Learn How To Be A Barista. There is more to making a cup of coffee than meets the eye. Learn about coffee beans and flavours, brewing and blending. Learn how to make the perfect cappuccino, espresso and latte.
