For the fifth year in a row, the
Free Flicks for Kids film season returns to City of Perth's
Northbridge Piazza for the summer and autumn months
until Saturday 25th April 2015.
These weekly movies provides families with free entertainment, screening feature films every Saturday afternoon or evening. Visitors are encouraged to bring the whole family, pack for a sunset picnic on the grass and lounge on the Piazza's comfortable beanbags. Make sure you arrive early to snag a beanbag and a spot on the lawn.
Film screenings start at
5:30pm every Saturday with the exception of 14th February and 28th March 2015 which start at 7:00pm. There is a large variety of films from classics to new releases to keep the whole family entertained. The full film season's movies are as follows:
Saturday 10th January:
Honey I Shrunk the Kids (PG)
An oldie but a goodie movie about a scientist father who accidentally shrinks some teenagers to the size of insects. Join them as they fight off dangers as the father searches for them.
Saturday 17th January:
A Cat in Paris (PG)
Follow Dino, a common household pet cat who's other life is a superhero with a big hearted thief.
Saturday 24th January:
Enchanted (G)
A Disney fairytale crosses with modern day New York City in which Princess Giselle lives out her romantic fairy tale in the real world.
Saturday 31st January:
How to Train Your Dragon 2 (PG)
Join Hiccup and his lovable dragon Toothless again in another adventure involving an ice cave, new dragons and more epic battles.
Saturday 7th February:
Camp Rock 2 (G)
Competition is fierce between two music camps, forcing them to challenge their rivals to the ultimate band battle.
Saturday 14th February:
Gnomeo and Juliet (G)
Montague and Capulet are two neighbouring gardens in a bittersweet war while Gnomeo and Juliet, two resident gnomes from each garden, are in love.
Saturday 21st February:
Despicable Me 2 (PG)
Embark upon another adventure with the girls, Gru the hilarious villain and the adorable minion family as they battle a new powerful criminal.
Saturday 28th February:
The Croods (PG)
Get back in touch with nature and fantasy with a caveman family who must adventure through an unfamiliar fantastical world after the destruction of their cave.
Saturday 7th March:
The Lego Movie (PG)
A favourite movie of all ages, The Lego Movie follows an ordinary construction worker as a 'nobody' into a quest to save the lego universe from eternal dominion.
Saturday 14th March:
Rio 2 (G)
The lovable Blu and his partner Jewel along with their three children start a new life in the wilds of the Amazon after a wild ride in Rio de Janeiro.
Saturday 21st March:
Happy Feet (G)
Join armies of adorable musically talented penguins in this singing, dancing and toe-tap inducing movie.
Saturday 28th March:
Cars 2 (G)
Star champion race car Lightning McQueen is caught up on his own adventure with his mate as he heads overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix.
Saturday 4th April:
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (G)
Inspired by the beloved children's book, a magical town exists where the skies rain down delicious food.
Saturday 11th April:
Ratatouille (PG)
Follow the adventures of a skilled rat chef who teams up with a young amateur kitchen worker at a world famous restaurant.
Saturday 18th April:
Fantastic Mr Fox (PG)
As a take on the classic Roald Dahl children's book, a fox takes the lead in this humans versus animals survival story.
Saturday 25th April:
The Princess and the Frog (G)
This is a modern day version of the classic tale The Frog Prince where Prince Naveen and waitress Tiana's lives cross over in their race to break a spell cast upon both of them.
