What is the only thing better than watching a brilliant Australian film? Watching a brilliant Australian film for the whole family for free!

BAPFF (Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival) is inviting all Brisbane families to a free of screening of Oddball at South Bank on November 28th. The film stars Shane Jacobson, Sarah Snook, Alan Tudyk, Deborah Mailman and Frank Woodley. It is directed by Stuart McDonald, best known for directing Chris Lilley's antics, including Summer Heights High, Ja'mie: Private School Girl and Jonah from Tonga.

Oddball is a delightful true story about a chicken farmer (Jacobson) who trains his dog to protect the wild penguin sanctuary from fox attacks. He enlists the help of his granddaughter and together they battle to save their family and their small, seaside town. This gorgeous film is funny and thoughtful and perfect for the whole family.

BAPFF are screening the film at the Courier-Mail Piazza in South Bank Parklands. Come down early to join in the free children's activities from 5.30pm, then settle in on the huge, comfortable beanbags and stay for the free screening of Oddball, which commences at 7pm. More information about the event can be found here .

BAPFF runs from 19th – 29th November and during this time, they will screen more than 100 feature films, documentaries and shorts from 42 countries across the Asia Pacific region. For more information, see their website .
