The Gold Coast is chock full of events and activities this Spring and most of them are free to attend. These festivals cater to art lovers, sports nuts, and residents who love the outdoors.

2013 Australian University Games

A friendly and competitive multi-sport event featuring Australian university athletes. Sports include athletics, australian rules football, badminton, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, cycling, fencing, football, futsal, golf, handball, hockey, judo, kendo, lawn bowls, netball, rugby union 7's, sailing, softball, squash, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, tenpin bowling, touch, twenty20 cricket, ultimate, volleyball and water polo. Gold Coast International Marine Expo

This exhibition includes all marine sports and equipment like kayaks, super yachts, fishing rods and jet skis. There will be a program of events, live attractions and demonstrations right across November the 1st to the 3rd 2013. Activities will be held in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, in Coomera. Poetry in Paradise
