As Easter will be coinciding with the Victorian school holidays this year, there are many school holiday activities in Geelong that have taken on an Easter theme. The best thing is that many of these activities and workshops are free.

Here are four places in Geelong that will be hosting free activities and events this Easter:
1. Easter Craft, Egg Hunts & visit from the Easter Bunny at Bunnings
Bunnings are well known for holding a variety of free workshops and craft sessions for children, and this April they will be holding a number of Easter-themed sessions in the Geelong region.

Although the events are free, bookings are essential and can be made via the Bunnings website (see below for links).

Bunnings stores are located at Geelong North, Waurn Ponds, and Leopold, with each store hosting a range of activities over several days.

Activity: Easter Family Night Event
Date/Time: Thursday 6th April 2017, from 6pm-8pm

Activity: Easter Family Night
Date/Time:Thursday, 6th of April 2017, 6pm - 8pm
Activities include Easter craft, face-painting, face-painting, Easter egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Activity:Easter Workshops for Kids
Date/Time: Saturday the 15th of April & Sunday the 16th of April, 10:15am-2:30pm

2. Easter Fun at Pakington StrandPakington Strand is a shopping centre located on Pakington Street in Geelong West. As part of their Easter Fun activities, Pakington Strand will be holding a number of free face painting and balloon twisting sessions, along with a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. The centre has free parking and is close to public transport.


Activities:
Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, and Meet the Easter Bunny.

Date/Time:
Meet the Easter Bunny will be held between 11am - 2pm on Saturday the 15th of April.
Face Painting sessions will run from 11am - 2pm on the 4th, 6th and 12th of April.
Balloon Twisting sessions will run from 12-2pm, on the 4th, 11th and 13th of April.

3. Market Square Children's activities
The main Easter event at Market Square Shopping Centre this Easter is 'Morning Tea with the Easter Bunny and Mik Maks'.

The first two shows were booked out within days, but fortunately two new shows have been added on Monday the 10th of April 2017. The event is free, but make sure you book early to avoid missing out (Bookings can be made here ).

There are also a number of other free activities available at Market Square this Easter. These free activities include: cooking classes, sewing classes, face-painting, craft session (with free coffee for parents), board games, and local magician, 'Dazzling Dan'.

4. Easter Maze and Craft Village at Westfield GeelongFrom Saturday the 8th of April - Saturday the 15th of April (excluding Good Friday), Westfield Geelong will be host to a Easter Maze for kids.

Completing the maze is free, and upon completion, children will receive a free Easter gift.


Activities: Craft and Easter Maze.

Date/Time: Saturday 8th April - Saturday 15th April.
The Maze and craft village are open between 10am - 1pm.

Venue:Centre Court at Westfield Geelong.

Cost: Free

Parking: Parking is available at a cost at the Westfield carpark, and there are parking meters on all streets within the immediate vicinity of the centre. Free street parking is available a free blocks away from the centre (in the direction of Eastern Park), and the centre is accessible by public transport.
