While investigating a lane full of street art in Frankston I came across a small sign announcing a second hand book store, so of course I had to investigate. The sign was on the back door in "Gallery Lane", the book shop itself faces on to an almost empty arcade call Heart Arcade.

I was delighted with my find, the bookshop was open and airy and obviously well cared for.

Second hand and antiquarian books aren't for everyone but I find there is something special about them, a sense of discovery when you find something hidden away on the shelves. Don't be put off by the arcade, true it is almost empty of shops and the bookshop is right at the end of the arcade, but once there you will not be disappointed.

For those interested in Sci-Fi & Fantasy genres it is well worth a look, it's fiction range isn't too bad either, the bookstore obviously is a work passion.

Open 9 to 5, why not take in "Gallery Lane" first and then make your way to see this little shop tucked away from plain sight but well worth a look if you are into books.
