I have been to Japan and I have enjoyed the cuisine immensely but I have a firm, fast rule; I only eat sushi in Japan.
This said, the other night my finance and I enjoyed a meal together at the Fork & Chopstick which is located quite near to our apartment.
While we have a couple of favourite dishes, through a mix up at the time of ordering, we ended up receiving a dish that we had not ordered. Not only were they happy to fix the order, they let us keep the sushi that they had prepared in error.
Now usually I don't eat sushi, unless in Japan, but I hate wasting things, so a bite I did have. Wow, the sushi, for those who like it, was awesome and for me to say that, is saying something.
That said, I do not at all want to take away from the range of hot food from Japan and Korea. The Bulgogi along with the Chicken Katsu are personal favourite dishes.
The meal size is great, not too much but just enough to satisfy and leave you replete. My partner and I generally share two bowls worth and are always pleasantly full afterwards.
Fork & Chopsticks is located at Shop 7, 634 Gupie Road Chermside and offer a choice of dine in or take away lunch and dinner. They are open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am until 9:00pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00pm on Sundays.
The staff are friendly and the food is exceptional and for all of you who really like sushi, Fork & Chopsticks is a meal 'not to miss'.
