Greenwich Village is home to a number of shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries, including The . These are a series of rooms located in the lobby of the headquarters of the well-known Forbes Magazine, located at 62 5th Avenue.

Members of the public can tour the galleries for free on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Group tours are conducted on Thursdays, and require advance registration.

How Many Galleries are There and What is in Them?

There are five separate galleries, each containing different exhibits. The exhibits change frequently, so you never know what you may see from one visit to the next. Here's a brief description of each gallery:

1. Picture Gallery

Currently, this gallery is hosting the works of Clark Hulings who passed away on February 2, 2011. This is the last show of his new work, so if you've always been a fan of his you want to be sure to visit this gallery between now and September 10, 2011.

You'll enjoy viewing his works, many of which included his favorite subject—donkeys. Mr. Hulings saw these animals as an apt metaphor for the patience and perseverance which can be found in humans.

2. Jewelry Gallery

Between now and June 25, 2011, you'll view the works of "Jewelers of the Hudson Valley" in the Jewelry Gallery. These works include pieces from famous jewelry artists such as Jamie Bennett, Pat Flynn, and Jennifer Trask, just to name a few.

You'll enjoy viewing exquisitely-designed rings, necklaces, and other types of jewelry crafted by these and other Hudson Valley artists. The detail and artwork on these pieces will amaze you.

3. Carrere Gallery

Lovers of architecture will enjoy touring the Carrere Gallery. It features watercolors by Alexander Creswell, each depicting different types of architectural design.

This exhibit will end on September 10, 2011. That still gives you time to visit the Carrere Gallery and see for yourself how architecture can be a work of art in and of itself.

4. Hastings Gallery

If you were unable to see the works of Clark Huling in the Picture Gallery, you have another chance in the Hastings Gallery. This gallery is also displaying his last works before his death.

5. Lobby Gallery

The exhibits in the Lobby Gallery rotate throughout the year, so you never know what you might see when you visit this last, but certainly not least, of The . Plan to visit often, so that you can see each exhibit.
