I love local artisans and anything Australian made. Here is your chance to visit some talented local artisans all in the one location.

Sundays on the South Coast will have much more substance and style from July 13, with the launch of Foragers Markets, a weekly food, produce and monthly artisans markets at the iconic Bulli Showground.

From French-style crepes served by an Otford couple from their retro caravan, to bratwurst sold by lederhosen-clad stallholders, the new markets will showcase the best in local and regional produce with a fresh twist on tradition.

Bush tucker barbecues from a Bulli family business, sweet jams and cakes mixed by a young Thirroul mum and hommus bar orginating in Austinmer are also amongst the aromatic offerings.

Artists and designers will also feature at a special monthly makers' style market, with live music, a children's area and chill out spaces adding to the relaxed, festival-style feel each week.

Charity and not-for-profits will also have a presence, with free stalls and fundraising initiatives given to a range of community groups.
"Through Foragers, I wanted to present excellent local and regional producers of food to people living in or visiting the area every weekend," Kirrily Sinclair, a mum-of-five and designer from Thirroul said.
"Our monthly makers' style market will also showcase quality art and design alongside the fantastic range of food on offer, with a few surprise treats in store to keep everyone happy."

From Bali and Byron to Bondi and beyond, Ms Sinclair has lived in many places that have grown her passion for produce, creativity and community, something that she believes will thrive in the area.
"Bulli has over approximately 40,000 people living within five minutes of our market, and over 290,000 in Wollongong, with many commuting to the city on weekdays," she said.
"Foragers Markets is a space for those who want to eat more ethically, healthily and economically, while chilling out in a unique space on weekends. It's about supporting local groups and what markets is strongly about - personal connections."

The best in food and produce suppliers from across NSW have been handpicked by Ms Sinclair to feature at Foragers, including multiple award winning and highly respected producers:

- The Dessertmakers

- Stevenson's Savoury Pastries

- Palarang Organic Meat

- Country Valley Dairy

- Pepe Saya Butter

- Maya Sunny Honey

- Doolan Country Jams

- Batlow Apple shed Stone Fruits and Nuts

- Tin Shed Organic Coffee (Thirroul)

- Leeroy's and lily's Bacon and Egg Rolls (Thirroul)

- Eda Bee Pat and Me Cakes and Slices (Thirroul)

Design and art on offer at the monthly makers' markets will also include a range of highly respected names from across the NSW region:

- Draw String Artwork (Austimer)

- Ambling Home Homewares (Warilla)

- Ikke Textile Designs (Thirroul)

- Bowerbird Vintage Caravan (Kiama)

- Anna Harland Handmade (Unanderra)
"With comfortable chill out spaces, people can drink freshly brewed coffee, read the paper on a relaxing Sunday morning, and listen to live music as the kids play," said Ms Sinclair.
"All this, while supporting local producers, accessing healthy, fresh food and connecting with others in their community – what more could you want?"
