Flying High is Australia's largest bird aviary ... A Must See

The aviary houses nearly 3000 birds, most of which fly free in the most beautiful setting.

Some of the birds such as the tawny frogmouth owl and peacocks are in large caged areas to keep them separate from the free flying birds.

As you walk up the to the aviary you'll have a chat with some pretty cocky cockatoos, galahs and macaws. They are absolutely delightful and have a wonderful vocabulary

Entry to the aviary is through the gift shop where you will receive a very warm welcome and can purchase refreshments and souvenirs.

You will enjoy interacting with some very nosey little parrots who just love to sit on your shoulder and check you out.

Inside the aviary the 400 metre path will take you through a beautiful rainforest setting where you will observe the birds in their lovely natural setting. Stations are placed along the way so you may observe them feeding.

A park-like setting just outside the main aviary is the ideal place to get up close and personal with emu, kangaroo, swans and the cassowary.

This is a really fabulous day out for the whole family. I thoroughly recommend it.
