Around 1 h 28 min drive from Melbourne city is a fantastic little place called Ballarat and it is there that you can find the enormous and well laid out for Botanical Gardens.

Covering 40 hectares, The Ballarat Botanical Gardens is a beautiful, well cared for place where you can slowly wander and take in the smells and sights at your own pace.

The garden is full of lovely trees, flowers, gorgeous marble statues and a greenhouse full of scented beautiful flowers and shrubs.

The birds fly free and provide a lovely sound to keep your ears busy as you wander around the large gardens.
