Floriade in
Canberra is Australia's biggest flower festival. With over a million flowers in bloom and fascinating garden bed designs, it transforms the national capital into a wonderland of beautiful flowers. Australia's celebration of spring starts on Saturday, the 11th of September and is on till Sunday, the 10th of October.
Floriade is a month long festival that is held at
Commonwealth park in the heart of Canberra. Apart from the stunning floral displays, the celebration includes entertainment, varieties of food and wine stalls, market stalls for some shopping, informative workshops and educational demonstrations and loads of fun activities for kids. There will be a 35 metre ferris wheel that will provide a view of the garden from the top.
From 22nd to 26th September, the
Nightfest will be on, which is a ticketed event. This event features an after-dark atmosphere to enjoy the lighted blooms, live entertainment, night markets and stylish glow bar among other activities. The nightfest runs for 5 nights from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM only and costs $20 per adult.
