Who am I? What do I want to be? Where will my identity take me?

These are the questions which will be explored in a contemporary circus production by Flipside Circus in the September/October school holidays. This will be the group's first ever Sunshine Coast performance and will be staged at the Lake Kawana Community Centre, Bokarina, from Wednesday 2nd until Friday 4th October.

Flipside Circus is a youth circus company based in Queensland with fifteen years of experience. They are a not for profit organisation whose focus is to provide opportunities for young people from all walks of life to develop core values of safe risk-taking, hard work, laughter, building trust and self-worth. They offer a range of workshops, classes and events which help children develop strength and fitness through the acquisition of circus skills.

This latest production will use amazing acrobatics, aerial displays and favourite circus skills to explore performers "identities". It will discuss the innocence of youth and address some of the questions which we ask of ourselves as we encounter life experiences as we grow up.

For a taste of what you can expect from the performance, have a look at their YouTube video.

The cast comprises fourteen performers aged from nine through to eighteen and the show is suitable for audiences of all ages. There will be shows at 1pm and 6pm Wednesday and 10am and 1pm Thursday and Friday. All tickets cost $18.
