For a feast of the senses - cinema by the sea, cool music, sumptuous cocktails and delicious food, Flickerfest will satisfy.

For ten days the Academy® accredited short film competition and special showcases will screen shorts from Australia and around the world at iconic Bondi Beach.

The panoramic Flickerfest bar with balcony overlooking the beach will be open everyday of the festival serving a selection of organic food and drinks.

Flickerfest 2011 will be the 20th Short Film Festival at the Bondi Pavilion, renowned as Sydney's first outdoor beachside cinema.

According to the website: "Flickerfest kicks off the summer movie season under the stars at Bondi Beach, screening the best short films from Australia and around the world in a unique and relaxed summer environment."

After receiving a record breaking 1793 entries, 108 films will screen officially in competition, 11 will be world premieres and 46 Australian premieres. View the full program here.

The Jury will be headed up by renowned Polish film expert Kryzystof Geirat, joined by film luminaries Renee Brack, the face of Movie Extra; Hannah Hillard whose film Franswa Sharl won the 2010 Flickerfest audience award for Most Popular Short; Toronto Short Film Festival, director, Eileen Arandiga; Australian actress Susie Porter; Luke Doolan, his film Miracle Fish was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 after screening at Flickerfest; International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, producer, Anne Vierhout; National Geographic Channel, program and acquisitions manager, Peta Watermayer and Australian documentary director (Temple of Dreams, Molly & Mobarak), Tom Zubrycki.

Don't fret if you cannot make it to Bondi the festival will tour nationally to 30 centres across Australia from January to March.
