Home of the Melbourne Cup since 1861, Flemington Racecourse is one of Australia's most significant cultural and sporting venues. This ANZAC day, come and learn about the history of Flemington Racecourse and stay on for a day of racing action.



Did you know that Flemington was first known as the Melbourne Racecourse and was renamed by a local property owner after his wife's hometown – Flemington in Scotland?

In this special Flemington Racecourse Raceday Heritage Tour you will learn about the interesting heroes and characters from Flemington's history and tour areas that have made the Emirates Melbourne Cup 'the race that stops a nation' ™.



This fascinating tour will include:

- Complimentary admission to Flemington Racecourse
- Flemington Heritage Centre: a multimedia experience that brings to life the history, drama, fashion and excitement of racing at Flemington.
- A guided walking tour exploring behind the scenes at Flemington, including a look at the raceday facilities, mounting yard and other historical points of interest.
- Complimentary drink and VIP viewing of the first race.

At the end of the tour, you are welcome to stay on and enjoy the rest of the raceday.



Entry fees: Adults $25, Children $10, Concession $20, Family $60, Members $Free

Getting to Flemington:

•Special trains run direct to Flemington Racecourse on racedays.
•Flemington Racecourse-bound trains depart Flinders Street Station and/or Southern Cross Station, stopping at North Melbourne Station, then express to Flemington Racecourse.
•Arrival and departure times will be published on the raceday page two weeks ahead of time
